Summer Weekend

Labor Day weekend we had a great time.  We spent the weekend babysitting, celebrating cousin birthdays, and boating with Grandma and Grandpa Smyth.

On the Thursday before the weekend we had a playday down at the water near our house.   It is a little scary thinking of what might be in the water.  There are huge oil tankers that come in and out of this area.  I do love seeing the water everyday.  The boys had a good day.

Saturday was spent watching some of our cousins while their parents took their older sisters to San Francisco for to celebrate Elle's 16th birthday.  We spent the day swimming and playing and then Ryan and I went out for a few hours (yippee, they hired us a babysitter for three hours.)

Monday we celebrated Joey's 4th birthday!  It was a super Batman party.  The boys can't wait until their birthday.  Joey is exactly 1 month older than the boys.

After the children's party there was an after party for all the family.  The boys loved the rockets and Ryan did a great job making them fly across the pool.

Tuesday, Sarah didn't have school so we stayed and went boating.  It was beautiful and very quiet on the lake.  Jack was pretending to be a bug on the windshield.  He is a funny boy.  After rafting with the kids we practiced our fishing skills.  Ryder was so excited.  Sarah wanted to raft more since the fish were not biting.
