Soccer season has now officially started. Saturdays from now until November are booked with Sarah's soccer games. She has an extremely energetic team this year. Every year we have an opening day parade and ceremony. The children march down First Street in a parade through the town to the Stadium where they announce every team and have them run in while the crowd cheers and screams up a storm. Lots of fun! Sarah also kindly reminded me of our tradition of making cinnamon rolls for opening day. I had forgotten, so I stayed up until about 12:30 a.m. preparing cinnamon rolls to be baked the next morning. I could not let our tradition die, it's too yummy. Sarah is a great soccer player and we are looking forward to another fun season.
The girls on the team are a dominant force. The are quick and tough.
Sarah is #5. Go Wild Ice Dragons! The game was a shut-out, 6-0. Sarah scored the first goal of the season. Yahoo! This year they are playing with goalies and on a larger field. The one tough thing is that you can't enter the goal keeper's box (technically it is a semi-circle about 12 ft. around the goal). The kids have to kick it in from pretty far out to score.
